ENVIRONMENT

Our facility is the first of its kind in North America. We have transitioned away from traditional aluminum extrusion methods and are continuously seeking ways to reduce our carbon footprint.

  • – Instead of using natural gas to heat our billets or age temper our profiles, we utilize renewable electric energy harnessed from Quebec’s hydroelectric dams.
  • – Additionally, we promote sustainability by using low-carbon emission billets as well as billets with recycled content from our suppliers.
  • – The heating system of our building has been specially designed to use residual heat energy from the extrusion process to warm the facility during the colder winter months.
  • – Our hydraulic system uses biodegradable hydraulic oils to minimize environmental pollutants.
  • – Our cooling system differs from conventional evaporator systems. It is a self-contained loop that allows us to minimize and conserve water, a natural resource, in the cooling process.

These innovations have significantly reduced our carbon emissions, making us an environmentally friendly extruder in North America. We take pride in using cutting-edge technology and innovation to lead the industry in sustainability.

 

ECONOMY

While making a profit is essential to any business, we strive to grow the Quebec and Canadian economies. A main source of our raw material supply originates from the province of Quebec and from within Canada.

This promotes economic growth from the forefront. With a vision to revolutionize the Canadian market supply, Magna Aluminum Profile will produce and distribute top-tier aluminum extrusions through the distribution centers of Canadian Specialty Metals, particularly our Montreal service center, Magna Stainless and Aluminum, based in Ville St-Laurent.

COMMUNITY

We focus on contributing to the growth and development of the communities around us, in particular the city of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.

Not only are we creating jobs with fair wages in the local communities, but we also invest in our employees by offering training and growth opportunities in automation, manufacturing, and metallurgy in the aluminum industry.

We create job opportunities in fields promoted by the local colleges and training institutions.

Additionally, we offer students the chance to grow and develop their skills and experience through internships and eventual employment with us.
